MEET THE NOMADS

JORDAN KING

Jordan moved from Southeast Michigan to live at Home of the Nomad during the summer of 2021. As a talented creative with a background in youth ministry & a Bachelor’s in Worship Arts, Jordan has found his true calling at The Novelty Collective.

Since joining the NoCo community, he has helped renovate The COVE Art Center, host the annual Music & Arts Festival, & establish his role as The Novelty Collective’s content creator. Jordan uses his storytelling ability to publish our newsletter every month, as well as generate fliers for upcoming events at the art center. He also works on other internet content to keep our community in the loop & raise support, such as this website & our DonorBox.

Although his position would suggest he is a writer by trade, Jordan’s greatest passions have long been music & illustration. Jordan has played drums for several musical projects & worship bands as a local & touring musician. He also has a knack for logo design. A fine example of his work is our very own logo! Jordan’s ambition is to expand his clientele to bands, churches, & other entities. He believes the right branding is a key to success in this age of information & oversaturated marketplaces. Above all, Jordan is a follower of Christ, dedicated to using his talents to honor God. That is why he volunteers at The COVE: Afterschool & NoCo: Open Studios. These programs exist so that leaders like Jordan can pass on what they have learned & care for our community in tangible ways. You can find some of Jordan’s latest work on his Instagram art account. Message him directly if you are interested in employing his drawing skills or his drumming.
